Finally found some time to sit back and blog.  It sure doesn't happen very often!  Well, we all made it half way thru the week.  For some reason, it feels like quite an accomplishment.  I thought I would use my blogging time to perhaps call upon my fellow bloggers for some help/advice/sympathy/solution.  I was wondering if I had any fellow-migraine-ers out there???  I have been having some serious bouts with mine lately and was just wondering if anyone else suffers from these awful headaches and if so.....what do you find to be helpful.  I'm not even sure what the definition of a "migraine" is but I just know that mine hits me right behind the eyes and pretty much puts me out of commission as far as trying to be productive at work.  Oh well......I know there are worse things out there and I should be thankful that's all I really deal with as far as my health, but I guess I'm just wimpy and like to complain.    Thanks in advance for any input!

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

No time to write much tonight, but had to share what Mike just caught behind our house about 15 minutes ago.  By the way.....this is mainly for Phil AND Gray!!!!

Happy Monday everyone!  Is it just me or does the days, weeks and months just keep flying by?!  I can't believe that this weekend is the 4th of July.  I'm looking forward to having a nice long weekend and spending time with family and friends.

I have to share with you guys that Maddy, my precious 3-year old is now playing on a basketball team thru the YMCA.  Let me repeat....my "3-year old"!  HA!  Nothing could be more cute and funny wrapped up into one event.  Here's my girl......

Well, as usual, I can pretty much count on having something typical of a "Wendy Day" happen and so again.......I have something to share.  I would just like to post this as a warning to all you women who may find yourselves doing what I did today.  The women's restrooms where I work are state-of-the-art - - practically brand new and all the faucets are equipped with those fancy hand sensors which allows you to wash your hands without touching anything.  Nice concept.  But......I have learned what not to do with these hi-tech sinks.  After I wash my hands (successfully), I decide I need to do a little primping in front of the mirror so I throw my purse into the sink (because I wouldn't want it sitting on the dirty ground) and begin to mess with my hair (lost cause, I know).  I guess I don't need to explain what happened next except that EVERYTHING in purse was soaking wet!  So, you don't have to thank me for this important bit of advice about hi-tech sinks.

I'm sure I'll have more advice/warnings to report by week's end.  Stay tuned!

Another day.......but another day closer to Friday!  Nothing too exciting has happened (yet) today.  I got my voice-mail all set up at work!  :)  Mike is on his way back into town from SWAT training so Maddy will be happy to have Daddy tuck her in tonight (after 2 nights of crying for him!)  Hopefully he will remember to pick up a little something for her since we bribed her to go to bed by herself by telling her (in 3-year old language) that Daddy has to work for 2 nights so he can make lots of money to buy her a big present.  What kind of parents are we?!  Some parents may say a swift smack on the bottom would do the trick, but......Mommy would rather keep the peace.  :)

I just want to ask you ladies a quick question.......Isn't it funny how our husbands know when something's bothering us and how (like Steve mentioned in this series) they just want to fix it??!!  First of all, Mike is a WONDERFUL husband and I really do appreciate how he tries to use his detective skills in figuring me out.  We just spoke on the phone and because I was just coming in the door, out of breath and didn't sound my normal, spunky, happy self, he said......"What's wrong? Is it time to get your roots done again?"   Only the ladies will understand this but I guess we can't hide from the fact that our hair really does affect our mood!   Ha-ha!

Not sure how to start this thing but I figured it can't hurt to just jump right in!  I felt so honored to already have 4 people comment and welcome me to this group!  (considering Stephanie came over and helped me get set-up just last night!)  I absolutely love reading everyone's blogs.  What a great way to get to know one another and share some experiences.  Of course now that I'm the one typing.......I'm folding uder the pressure.  Um, well, I am a personal trainer and LOVE to yack about working out and eating healthy, so if anyone wants to hear an earful on that - - I'm your girl!

I'm typing this while at work which will not be the norm for me in the future.  I'll be doing most of my blogging at night and not on company time!  (I know, what a good little employee I am!)  But, since I am at work and something typical of a "Wendy Day" just happened.......I'll share, however embarrasing it may be for me.   We just changed to a new phone system so we rec'd an e-mail telling us to re-do our voice mails, passwords, etc.  Well, first of all I hate recording myself talking.  I think it always sounds stupid and if it doesn't come out smooth and without studders, I'll sound like an idot.  So, I rehearse in my mind over and over of how I'm going to say my voice mail message and I'm finally ready.  So I go through all 115 menu options to get to the recording part and amazingly enough I spit out my lines beautifully - - what a relief.  It was at that moment that I noticed my message light was on and realized that someone must have left me a message as I was busy recording.  So, I excitedly log into my voice-mail thinking it's Mike (who is out of town at a SWAT training seminar) and what do I hear???  Myself leaving my voice-mail greeting in my own voice mail!!!!  So, needless to say, I have to do it all over again!

So, if anyone is interested in reading about my experiences, these are the kinds of things  I'll be sharing because these things only happen to me!

By the way, I just talked to Mike and he said his seminar is wonderful.  He said the instructor is way cool and he's actually killed lots of people!  (only Mike would be excited about that!)

Hope everyone has a great week and I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Peace!  Wendy
